to gain the right to quarter the arms of du Lys and Darc. This request
was granted on November 25, 1612. The same letters patent granted
crests to the two brothers: Luc received a crest consisting of a gold
fleur-de-lys between two banners, along with the war-cry: "Les
Lys!"
